Dr. Rae Seitz  was instrumental in designing, developing, implementing, and growing  home-based palliative care programs for both Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and HMSA.  She led the  Advance Care Planning Video Project in which videos are used to inform people about their choices for care at the end of life and helped to oversee the development of these videos in all the commonly spoken languages in Hawaii.  She is a founding board member of Kokua Mau, Hawai’i’s palliative and hospice care organization. Dr. Seitz specializes in palliative and hospice medicine.  She has a special interest in the care of seriously, chronically, and terminally ill patients as well as to teaching this discipline.
